Kaitaki offers a variety of entertainment options to suit all ages, tastes and moods.
Television Lounge
Lounges with recliner chairs are located on Deck 7. In addition, the Karori Rip Bar features wide screen plasma televisions.
Movie Theatre (Deck 2)
Relax and view a recent release movie in the onboard cinema. Tickets are available from the shop on Deck 7.
Wi-Fi Internet
Stay in touch with work, family and friends with our onboard Wi-Fi service. Access can be purchased from the Karori Rip Bar.
Video Games (Deck 7)
Video games, for children of all ages, can be played on Deck 7.
Bands
Local bands often perform in The Karori Rip Bar (Deck 8). Visit the bar to see a performance schedule.
Children’s Facilities
A range of activities is designed to entertain our youngest passengers.
Family Lounge (deck 7)
Including a pre-school play area and a television showing the Disney Playhouse Channel, the Family Lounge is a great place for parents to relax with their children.
Kids Play areas (Decks 2 and 7)
A pre-school play area is part of the Family Lounge on Deck 7, while a more challenging and physical playground is located on Deck 2, for children aged 3 - 10 years.
Nurseries (Deck 7)
Four cabins, which include cots and baby-changing facilities, are available for the use of families travelling with infants.
Ship Ahoy Activity Book
This is available free of charge from the shop on Deck 7.
Seating and Observation Decks
Kaitaki offers a number of indoor and outdoor seating options.
Lounges
The Family Lounge (Deck 7) is a great place for parents to relax with their children, with a pre-school play area and a television screening the cartoon channel.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted onboard Kaitaki in the following designated areas:
Outside on Deck 7 (look for signs).
Food and Beverages
Kaitaki features a range of food and beverage options.
Fresh Food Court (Deck 8)
Offering:
- A mouth-watering selection of light snacks and hot meals
- Hot breakfast (served until 10.30am)
- Hot meals (available from 10.45am)
- A variety of beverages to accompany your meal, including filter coffee and tea, juice, soft drinks and wine.
Café Oliveto (Deck 7)
Offering:
- A range of food, including pastries, muffins, cakes, filled rolls and paninis
- A full range of espresso coffees, including cappuccino, latte, flat white, long black and mochaccino
- Gourmet Dilmah teas
Play Zone Refreshment Counter (Deck 2)
Offering:
- Snacks, confectionery, and a selection of hot and cold beverages, including espresso coffee
The Karori Rip Bar (Deck 8)
Offering:
- Local wines, beers and spirits
- Espresso coffee, tea and hot chocolate
- Light meals, including paninis, pies and hot dogs, are available at peak times
